Sleepover
Carnival Fun

After breakfast with Darin's fam we met up with my family at the Menan celebration! The kids had a blast on the "train ride" and jumping castles and what 4th of July celebration would be complete without the parade. Kolton scored a close to 3 lbs of candy and Madi got this cute tutu. The highlight of the parade was when the beauty pageant girls rode by wearing their formals and Kolton shouted out "You're gorgeous!" They got so giddy you would have thought a movie star was giving them a compliment.

Tis the Season

Several of the blogs I read have swimming lesson posts! Must be that time of year. This year I wanted my kids to experience one of my most favorite childhood traditions; swimming lessons at Hiesi Hot Springs. Every year since I was 7 my mom loaded all of us up and we took lessons with our cousins. Then we got to eat a lunch that included hostess cake snacks; I remember cocodiles best. I have been very disappointed with my kids lessons in Layton so this year we loaded up and hung out in Idaho for two weeks! I was kind of nervous because it was going to be a lot of family time. We loved every minute of it. Kolton absolutely loves his cousin Kendra always saying she is his best friend ever! They took lessons together and Madi girl had private lessons. After lessons they could stay in the pool as long as they wanted as long as I joined in. So I swallowed my pride and put on a maternity swimsuit and jumped in with them. They had a blast and learned so much!! Kolton was holding his breath and gliding under water and floating on his back by the end of lessons. Madi was jumping in and could preform the infamous chicken, airplane soldier stroke techniques and Kendra well that girl is part mermaid!!!
I hope my kids enjoy their memories of swim lessons too!

At the Zoo

You'll probably remember similar zoo pictures from last year. This time Issac and Andrea came with us. My kids loved her double stoller. Even Kolton who places himself far above strollers asked for a ride! The highlight of the tiger exhibit was that he peed for the kids. You know Kolton was going to make a big deal out of that! I gotta say Kolton brushing the goats grossed me out. I had him santize and wash his hands afterwards but I was proud of him for not being scared.
